South Korean electronics company LG has decided to finally enter the beer industry through the launch of its new HomeBrew device. Taking inspiration from Keurig, the LG HomeBrew device utilizes single-use capsules of malt, yeast, hop oil, and flavoring to produce excellent brews in just two weeks. The machine is also fully automated and handles the fermentation, carbonation, aging, serving, and cleaning. An accompanying app will also be available to help users check the status of their brew.
LG has already created five different capsules for the HomeBrew device. These flavors include a hoppy American IPA, a golden American Pale Ale, a full-bodied English Stout, a Belgian-style Witbier, and a Czech Pilsner. The machine is currently capable of producing five liters of beer per batch, with each brew taking roughly two weeks to mature.
