Dairy Queen Will Strictly Use Cage-Free Eggs in All of Its Products

Back in 2016, Dairy Queen announced that it would be making the switch to cage-free eggs by 2025, a goal it's been busy making the moves to meet ever since.

The QSR chain will extend the promise to all of its proprietary products in Canada and the US, ensuring everything that comes from a DQ restaurant is made with eggs that are sourced from hens from a cage-free facility—where they're able to roam around a bit more freely.

Executive Vice President Steve Min spoke to the success of the company's cage-free commitment so far, stating "As we continue to make progress toward our goal, we reduced the number of proprietary ingredients not yet using cage-free eggs by more than 35%. I am pleased to share that now 100% of proprietary ingredients in Blizzard Treats contain cage-free eggs, and we are on track to meet our cage-free egg commitment in 2025 or sooner."
