Cadbury Share Bags will Now Have 15% Less Packaging

The Cadbury Share Bags have been revamped by the Mondelēz International-owned brand to help reduce packaging and make the product a more efficient offering for consumers.

The shift towards more eco-friendly packaging comes as part of the brand's 'pack light and pack right' strategy that will see Giant Buttons, Bitsa Wispa and Caramel Nibbles in bags with 15% less material. The new packaging will be showing up on store shelves from September and are part of the larger shift in the UK towards removing or reducing unnecessary packaging without losing sight of product quality or safety.

UK Managing Director of Mondelēz International Louise Stigant spoke on the new Cadbury Share Bags packaging saying, "We’re committed to reducing the impact our products have on the environment and tackling packaging waste. One way in which we are delivering against that ambition is to either reduce or remove our packaging where we can without compromising food safety. I’m proud to say that cutting the plastic used in our iconic large share bags by 15%, whilst maintaining the amount of product, is just one step in our journey towards our strategic goal to use less packaging across our UK business, and demonstrates our innovative approach to reducing our environmental impact."
