Perforated Plywood Lighting

The Bud Lampshade by Desinature is Rustic-Looking and Eco-Conscious

The Bud Lampshade series may look like it has been crafted out of cardboard, but each light fixture is in reality made out of six identical panels of plywood. Manufactured in the United Kingdom by Desinature, a British design brand recently established by designer Etienne Esmenjaud, the Bud Lampshade series is contemporary and eco-friendly.

Launching at Pulse 2012, a design-focused retail gift, homeware and lifestyle show, the Bud Lampshade series is made up of two different shapes: round and long. Great for traditional and modern homes, each light fixture has a perforated bottom half that allows the lights to trickle out from the sides while pouring out from the bottom. Sculptural and subtly simplistic, the Bud Lampshade is one of five products being showcased by Desinature.
