The Brickchair is an impressive example of bringing furniture drawn on a piece of paper to reality.
The Brickchair is the work of Dutch designer Pepe Heykoop, who built the physical manifestation of a drawing by L.A. artist James Gulliver Hancock. The chair is comprised of children's playing blocks and is said to spark innovation by "start[ing] with a single block and tak[ing] it wherever you want it to go." As you can see, the result is something straight out of a Lewis Carroll novel.
I'm not to sure if I'd sit on the Brickchair for extended periods, since I'm afraid it'll collapse upon itself unexpectedly, but I'd definitely have it around as a constant inspiration for drawings that can morph into reality.
