Dystopic Sci-Fi Series

3percent is a Brazilian Drama Illustrating a Dark Existence

3percent is a new sci-fi TV project produced in a country whose filmmakers traditionally don't explore the genre.

The series displays a world that is divided into two: one side for the more fortunate and another for the less. Upon arriving at the age of 20, those who live on the worse side have only one chance to pass to the better side. Only 3% can be approved in the cruel tests of institutionalized selection process.

Tension and anticipation permeate the pilot, with a grayish photography that contrasts the colorful life on the faces of the protagonists Bruna (Julia Ianina), Rafael (Geraldo Rogrigues), Fernando (Thiago Balieiro) and Michele (Rita Batata).

The main references of the filmmakers are the books 1984 and Brave New World, the movies The Trial, Blindness, and the series Lost.
