Microsoft Created a Patent for a Braille Controller Display on Xbox

Microsoft has created a patent for a braille controller display. The controller would help users with visual impairments get information form the games they are playing by reading the braille display on the back side of the controller. The braille display is said to give feedback that other users would get visually, like player information or in-game dialog.

The patented controller looks and operates much like a conventional Xbox One controller. The braille display is located at the bottom of the controller, where most players' fingers rest. This means that users can operate the controller like any one else and get the feedback they need from the braille display conveniently. Outlined in the controller patent, the braille controller display operates by mechanically creating braille lettering.
