TikTok's Official Book Club Builds on the Success of #BookTok

Currently, the #BookTok hashtag has more than 65 billion views on TikTok and the short-form content platform is now introducing its own official book club to support and expand the community. TikTok's Book Club can be found within the app and on a monthly basis, a new book will be recommended. As TikTok itself describes, this hub will be a "cozy corner where communities can experience the joy [of] reading together."

The Gen Z book club is kicking off with the Jane Austen classic Persuasion from 1817. This book club pick also leverages the popularity of #AustenTok has amassed more than 19 million views on TikTok.
