These book cover photos are a simple but interesting way to make art out of books. Reading may get a bad rap for being irrelevant in today’s hyper connected age, but this series entitled ‘Corpus Libris’ by Emily Pullen shows that there really isn’t anything like a good book.
The point of the book cover photo series is quite simple. People pose behind books and the cover of the books take over for a feature of theirs. In many of the photos, the feature that’s taken over is the face but in some, like the baby posing, it can be the foot or who upper half.
Pullen also uses very accurate models and some of the book faces almost perfectly mirror the real ones (that is except the Mike Tyson on a little girl one).
