Wheeling with style and class has never been easier than with the 'Bonobo' plywood bike by Polish designer Stanislaw Ploski. The two-wheeler's frame is made completely out of composite wood and is surprisingly lightweight, but still strong enough to support urban use. The wooden frame was molded, sanded, bent and constructed using carpentry techniques -- surely a time-consuming project, but well worth the wait. The green accents on the bike provided by the handlebars, chain and pedals create an earthy look in combination with the handsome dark wood tones. This is one bicycle that will definitely stop traffic, with its sleek treetop look.
The Bonobo plywood bike made its debut at the Design May Youngsters Berlin show in June 2011. Ploski's creation is currently still just a prototype, but hopefully we'll be seeing this sharp and sophisticated cyclist's dream popping up in urban environments soon.Photo Credits: designboom I duzosuper
