Liviu Burlea Paints People in His Beautifully Bodacious Bodyscapes

While he makes the subjects of his bodyscapes part of the surrounding scenery, artist Liviu Burlea does not allow them to blend into the background.

People become sculptural works of art when their entire bodies are coated in layers of paint that both complete the landscape and add new and invigorating elements to it. First he paints his subjects, then he poses and photographs them to create works of inspirational art. The use of bold, contrasting colors gives the photographs a lively composition that are simultaneously sublime and surreal. Especially striking are the images where it appears as though the person's head has rotated 180 degrees.

Escape into the bold and brilliant bodyscapes by Liviu Burlea for an astounding experience.
