Fleshy Symmetrical Sculptures

These Deconstructed Body Sculptures are Alluring and Unusual

There is something both mind-bendingly alluring yet disturbing about this deconstructed body sculptures series by French photographer William Farges.

In the 'White Line' series, Farges literally deconstructs the human body to different sections, pieces and limbs and then creates shapes and structures using the fleshy mounds. All of the deconstructed body sculptures are designed in a symmetrical way and are designed in a way to portray how the human form mirrors and turns on itself. The photographer uses a white line that runs down the middle of the image to separate the symmetrical forms and to portray notions of loneliness.

The sculptures were inspired by Francis Bacon's dark and twisted pieces of art that exude the same raw emotion.
