The Vanguart Black Hole Tourbillon replaces the traditional crown with a joystick-style mechanism that allows the wearer to advance or reverse time with tactile input. The dial uses concentric rotating discs to display hours and minutes while a flying tourbillon floats visibly at the centre, creating a sculptural display of the movement’s complexity. The case integrates the movement architecture into the form in full view, meaning the case shape and calibre were developed in tandem to emphasise flow, depth and three-dimensional presence.
In addition to the joystick control, the movement supports a countdown function that lets the wearer manually reverse the time display, turning the concept of linear time into something interactive. The automaton dial animates each change of hour and minute, giving visual impact to every moment. The case is built in grade-5 titanium or rose gold and measures around 45 mm, and the overall design prioritises exclusivity, limited production and level of finish more often associated with haute horology than independent start-ups.
