Biodegradable Food-Shaped Utensils

These Eco-Friendly Utensils are Designed as Fruits & Vegetables

It can be a tricky thing to design a biodegradable utensil, but Qiyun Deng has done an amazing job with her organic designs. The beautiful set of utensils that she has created look just like the natural forms of vegetables and fruits.

The biodegradable utensils are the result of her diploma project at the École cantonale d’art de Lausanne located in Switzerland. Suffice it to say, the mark that Deng must have received would have to be near-perfect. The utensils are called 'Graft' and are crafted from bioplastic PLA, which is a material derived from vegetable fats, starches and oils. The result of everything is an absolutely stunning set of utensils that truly look like it's just been picked from the garden. It must be an interesting experience eating vegetables with utensils that look like they should be on the plate.
