Vives St-Laurent Designs the Interior of Billie Le Kid

Billie Le Kid is a Montreal-based brand that specializes in clothing and toys for babies, toddlers, and older kids. Most recently, the company opened a retail location in Mont-Tremblant—a popular Canadian ski resort in Quebec. For the retail project, Billie Le Kid tapped the interior design studio Vives St-Laurent which embraced the aesthetics of a theater for the design.

The idea was to "capture the spirit of the brand while reflecting its [colorful and whimsical] location." Various luxurious materials and color choices were employed in the interior to realize the vision. For one, Vives St-Laurent used a bright color palette, boasting blue-on-blue for the storefront and soft pastel colors and natural wood tones for the inside. The checkout counter, on the other hand, features Bianco Carrara marble while "painted tongue-and-groove panelling" add "a touch of nostalgia."
