The Big Basket Chair looks just like what its title suggests, a big basket. Nevertheless, although it does boast the traditional weaving typical of straw baskets, this seat was crafted out of felt that was woven into a sturdy metal frame. It also has a large cutout that allows the sitter's legs to stick out for a more comfortable perch if desired. The Big Basket Chair, however, does have an upholstered foam seat that is large enough to curl up in with a companion.
Created by Swedish designer Ola Gillgren, the Big Basket Chair is a beautiful work of art. Gillgren writes, "I wanted to make the construction part of the esthetics, and make every part of the chair visible."
