Bettina Banayan recently made the decision that she is going to frost a cake for everyone while riding the subway. She does so in a live art performance where she pulls out a white cake and frosts it while everyone watches her. As confused as the subway goers are, they are amused and love that is she doing this for people.
This 12-minute video displays the entire performance from start to finish. Bettina Banayan says that, "New Yorkers aren't very personable with each other," and that "[they're] constantly in people’s private space, especially on the subway. I think it’s important to have some kind of community."
Her live art performance is definitely one that you will not forget. It would be wonderful if more people offered baked goods on a regular basis as public transportation would be much more enjoyable.
