Givenchy Autumn/Winter 2008-9

Has the bell bottom trend swung into footwear? These heavy-bottomed boots were recently seen on many of the models of the Givenchy couture collection for Autumn/Winter 2008-9, during Paris Fashion Week. The collection was the creation of Riccardo Tisci, for the House of Givenchy.

Queen Marie of 'The Kingdom of Style' British fashion blog noted that Clydesdale horses were her first thought when she saw the boots. You sure can see the likeness.

I love the leather fringe, ties and buckle details at the top... I think they might be growing on me.
