For those who enjoy very strange leisurely activities, consider swimming in thie beer-filled swimming pool. This pool is located just a few hours outisde of Munich at Starkenberg's Castle -- one of the only places in the world with a beer swimming pool.
The beer-filled swimming pool is filled with nearly 42,000 pints of warm beer. The actual pool advises against drinking the 'water' (despite how temping this sounds.) There is the option to order a drink while you are swimming, however. The actual swimming pool is located in the Starkenberg Castle fermentation brewery cellar. The team decided that they would convert their cellar into something that could be used a bit more than it already is; and why not choose a full-on beer spa.
There are seven different 13-foot pools in the brewery. If you're ever in the area of this 700 year old castle, certainly stop by for a dip.
