The American Angus Association Depicted Different Types of Beef Cuts

There are so many types of beef cuts: flank steak, filet mignon, top round, brisket shanks, to name only a select few. Even if you are a meat lover, its unlikely you know where all of the cuts originate from.

Knowing all the different cuts of beef and how to cook each one can be extremely confusing and overwhelming so the people at The American Angus Association, in collaboration with Business Insider, are trying to make eating cow meat clearer for you.

The companies have shared ten detailed overviews of each different section of the cow, the meat it offers and how to cook it. For example, brisket is a tough beef cut that comes from the chest of the cow and should be cooked by braising or slow smoking it.
