Guerlain's Iconic Bee Bottle is Revived in Artful New Ways

French cosmetic imprint Guerlain works in collaboration with Maison Matisse and Henri Matisse's great-grandson to highlight the iconic Bee Bottle and the works of Matisse. 14 lucky individuals will be able to own a limited-edition perfume bottle that is worth $17,000 USD that is made to celebrate the famed artist.

The Bee Bottle by Guerlain was first created back in 1835 and for the special edition, it boasts a new and colorful look inspired by Henri Matisse's la Musique painting from 1939. The painting features two women seated -- one of which is strumming a guitar as the two sit in the shade of a large philodendron that is behind them. Each flacon is hand-painted by decorative painter Astrid de Chaillé.
