Rooftop Tent Installations

This Creative Artwork Display Reflects Bedouins Tents of Israel

Israel-based architecture firm created this glorious rooftop installation, which was inspired by Bedouins tents in Israel. The circular tents resemble oversized balloons that are gathered together a community-styled setting atop a roof.

This particular installation was commissioned by Australian’s Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation and is the final display in the series titled 'Fugitive Structures.' The original Bedouin tents are designed to protect and maintain the safety of fruits and vegetables that grow in the desert.

The installation titled 'Sway' is a temporary art display that draws the gaze of street-walking pedestrians. The unique location provides an interesting aspect, since it is a non-traditional place to have either a tent or an art exhibit. The curvaceous white balloons provide a unique aesthetic that can be enjoyed both day and night.
