The Beautiful Ful 2013 Spring/Summer Collection Lights Some Cigars

The Beautiful Ful 2013 Spring/Summer collection sets sail to Cuba for inspiration. LA-based designer Alejandro Rodriquez has designed this collection drawing upon the island vibe of Cuba and the political leanings of the island nation as well.

The collection makes use of tailored suits with floral linings and paisley-print shirts in order to capture the laid back island feel. In contrast, military hues and camouflage prints are nods to the political environment that Cuba experiences. Cuban cigars are used as an accessory that ties these looks together. After all, a cigar looks just as much at home in the mouth of a dictator as it does in the mouth of a vacationer.

The most interesting picture shows a military-clad model walking out of an orange smoke screen with a pistol. It looks like a slow motion sequence in an action movie.
