Medicom has created these two limited edition Bearbricks for the 2009 Taipei Toy Festival.
One of the Bearbricks was designed by Toki Doki and features an all over character design. The second bear was designed by Jimmy Liao, a Taiwanese artist.
Both of these bears were released over the weekend in Taipei.
Implications - Graffiti art experienced a surge in the 90s and was largely associated with hip-hop culture. Now, the essence of graffiti has become much more diluted and is just associated with rebellion or being "against the man." Graffiti artist Banksy is a great example of how the graffiti movement has been brought into modern times and of how it has become not only mainstream, but also widely accepted as a legitimate form of art and self-expression.
