The BBVA Compass Stadium Has a Dynamic Exterior

The BBVA Compass Stadium has an interesting exterior, featuring a wrap-around tessellated screen. The design was done by Populous, and is part of Houston's east-side redevelopment strategy. As such, the stadium is meant to be a main structure in this development, which judging from the noticeable nature of the exterior this goal has been achieved.

Bright orange pieces have also been placed on the outside, drawing people in even more to the stadium. From a distance it's hard not to notice the building due to its tessellated screen and the bright hues used throughout. The color reflects that of the home team of the city called the Houston Dynamo, which has a significantly growing fan base. Photo Credits: designboom, populous
