The New Apple Store is at Battersea Power Station

Technology giant Apple opens up a new store designed by Foster + Partners at London's Battersea Power Station complete with new fixtures and furniture looks. It is set to open its doors to the public today and this marks the brand's 40th store located in the UK.

This time around, it is meant to capture its progressive retail design thinking with a focus deeper on accessibility and sustainability. Bill Bergeron Mirsky, the Global Retail Design Lead at Apple explains the design thoughts to Dezeen, stating "We developed this material palette and this fixture set that is really trying to align with like Apple's goals. This material palette is new for us, it's an evolution of the Apple Store."
