Wonder Woman has finally arrived on the big screen thanks to the upcoming Batman vs Superman film. The Fast and the Furious actress Gal Gadot has been announced as Wonder Woman in the upcoming Live Action DC Comics follow up to this summer's Man of Steel.
Rather infamously, the costumed heroine, one of the best known in the DC Universe after Superman and Batman, has not gotten any kind of screen treatment since the television series in the 1970s starring Lynda Carter. In 2011 there was an attempt to bring back to Television but the pilot was so notoriously poor that it never aired on television. Comic book fans will be anxiously awaiting this new big screen treatment of Wonder Woman in Batman vs Superman in the hopes that it will bring her even more fame and fans, and end the strange non-existence of well-made super heroine films.
