Ramshackle Barnyard Eateries

The Barnyard Restaurant is an Agricultural Dream

London-based interior design studio Brinkworth has worked their magic to ensure that the Barnyard restaurant lives up to its name. Barnyard’s chef, Ollie Dabbous, worked closely with the designers to bring his rustic, agricultural vision to life.

Indeed, the charming eatery resembles a ramshackle farmhouse, complete with rusty corrugated iron on the walls and restored lighting. Along with the corrugated metal, the walls were outfitted in timber, so as to complement the bar-style bench seating on the ground floor.

The designers got especially creative with the lighting. The fixtures displayed throughout the restaurant were collected from various UK salvage companies. Binkworth’s Louise Melchior explains, "The wall mounted lights by the bar are 1960s reclaimed German cargo ship lights, while the lights on the mezzanine are 1950s industrial red pendants from a glass factory."
