'Banana Pack' Designed a Plant-Based Alternative to Cling Film

'Banana Pack' is a Bolivia-based startup focused on creating sustainable alternatives to harmful products. Its first product is proposed as an alternative to cling film that is created entirely out of banana leaves. This banana leaf-based film can be used as a wrap over the top of foods as a regular film would, however, it also can be shaped into large, durable food trays.

Banana Pack's banana leaf film comes in a variety of sizes and quantities, so customers do not need to purchase more than they need. However, even if customers discard of excess banana leaf film, the product is fully chemical-free and environmentally friendly. On top of this, Banana Pack does not cut down its own trees for the purpose of sourcing banana leaves, but rather, it receives shipments of the leftover leaves from banana plants, meaning its products are upscaled and sustainable.
