Baladna Debuts a New Qatari White Cheese Using Aseptic Cartons

Qatari dairy and beverage brand Baladna has unveiled a new white cheese product in collaboration with SIG. The locally produced white cheese comes packaged in aseptic carton packs and incorporates SIG's CFA 312 filling machine to fill the products. The machine can fill four different volume sizes, allowing Baladna to potentially venture into juice and dairy products using 1,000 mL carton packs. The aseptic carton packs also help Baladna reduce its carbon footprint, as it is more sustainable than other forms of packaging.

"Locally produced white cheese in carton packs is a first for the Qatari market. Previously, white cheese was imported from neighbouring countries and mainly available here in plastic packaging. We are very proud to continue our partnership with Baladna with this exciting innovation," said Abdelghany Eladib, president and general manager of the Middle East and Africa at SIG.
