Bubble-Shaped Baby Bikes

The 'B.Bike' Rids the Need for Training Wheels with a Huge Ball-Like Tire

Designer Songyee Yang created a collection of baby bikes called 'B.Bikes.' The design concept uses an oversized ball-like wheel instead of a traditional tire on the front end of the bike.

This large spherical tire resembles an adult exercise ball that allows each of the baby bikes to remain upright without the use of training wheels. The large ball-like wheel is connected with a bar that runs directly through the middle of it to make the turning motion. B.Bike uses a futuristic design incorporating smooth curved edges and a comfy seat situation above the smaller, more traditional back tire. The playfully curvaceous bike is designed to reduce and avoid bike injuries altogether.

The idea for the B.Bike is to act as a transition bike for children who will eventually upgrade to adult bicycles.
