Axia Foods is Launching Almond-Based Cheese Under the Prochez Brand

India-based start up company Axia Foods is a plant-based firm that originally launches the first almond cheese protein bars under the Prochez brand. Now, the label is branching further out with the first almost-based cheese and butter products.

Currently, both almost cheese and butter are offered in a spread format and Axia is aiming to replicate the exact taste and texture of dairy cheese and butter. The protein bars are made using cultured and aged almost cheese -- it is then wrapped in dark chocolate. Now the bars are offered in new flavors including coffee, matcha, and strawberry, Founder and CEO of the company Jasmine Shaikh talks about the products, "it is difficult to make yogurt or cheese from almond because it has a briny texture, and it requires a long fermentation period."
