Pierre Fabre announced a nearly €50 million investment to expand and modernize its Avène manufacturing site in southern France, increasing production capacity for Eau Thermale Avène products. The project will upgrade production and packaging operations with the goal of doubling annual output from 100 million to 200 million units by 2029.
The expansion forms part of the company’s broader €250 million industrial investment program and will support operations at the Avène site, which employs 330 people and includes manufacturing, packaging and warehousing facilities. The upgrades are intended to improve production efficiency and increase capacity as demand for the brand continues to grow in international markets.
For consumers, the investment is expected to improve product availability and support faster supply to key markets, particularly China and the United States. The move reflects a broader trend of manufacturers expanding domestic production capabilities to strengthen supply-chain resilience and support global growth.
