PORTER has partnered with New York artist Aurel Schmidt on a capsule collection featuring four bag silhouettes: a backpack, a two-way tote, a roll Boston bag, and a two-way Madison bag. Known for creating densely detailed drawings from everyday urban objects, Schmidt translated her distinctive visual language into an all-over print developed specifically for the collaboration. The artwork incorporates imagery including fish heads, fruit peels, lucky charms, loose currency, and other motifs inspired by her time in Japan, while also referencing elements connected to PORTER’s heritage.
Each bag is constructed from white nylon printed with the custom artwork and finished with colorful zipper accents and an omamori-inspired charm. Because the fabric is cut differently for every product, the placement of the illustrations varies from piece to piece, ensuring that no two bags are exactly alike.
