Illustrator Pawel Nolbert's Atypical Poster Series is a Swirl of Color

Artist and illustrator Pawel Nolbert created this breathtaking Atypical poster series that beautifully merges brush strokes gestures and typography together into one visually stimulating art piece. The series features various letters of the alphabet painted by hand using swirls of chromatic color.

Nolbert is a talented designer based out of Warsaw, Portland. He created the Atypical poster series in conjunction with his newest website design. The series renders the rigid structure of typefaces malleable with the inclusion of chromatic paint. Each of the letters captures the curved swirls of a standard paint brush as a hand drags it to replicate the look of the letter. Nolbert makes a point to keep the paint drips and splatters as part of the piece.
