The 'Bloom' collection by the Tokyo-based Murakoshi was recently unveiled at Milan Design Week 2014 to rave reviews. The new collection of artsy tableware features vases and fruit bowls with patterned thread tops that create a geometric lattice look. The blown-glass tableware uses different colored threads in various combinations to create the final look.
"Blown glass has a feeling of both warmth and tension that looks like conflicting image," says Murakoshi. "The narrow lines create unlimited patterns, the transparency and exquisiteness that each materials possess make foil each other."
