Crossed Strap Backpacks

EASTPAK Tapped Vetements for This Artist Studio Collection Release

EASTPAK, a Massachusetts-based backpack brand, launched the 'Artist Studio Collection' in order to promote a series of large-scale collaborations. One of the twelve that's to be included comes from Demna Gvasalia, a celebrated Georgian fashion designer who's tied to Vetements.

In order to make the collaborative effort clear, the product includes the branding of both. Black and red, this Artist Studio Collection backpack is a statement accessory that immediately stands out for its unconventional strap.

Like a ribbon, the red material is continuous, crossing at the top of the bag to form an oversized loop. As HYPEBEAST writes, this is meant to be a symbol of support to those who are affected by HIV/AIDS. Due to this, the collaborative design will be auctioned off, with proceeds going towards the Designers Against Aids Foundation.
