Room Engulfing Sculptures

French Artist Bernard Pras Creates Sculptures Using Rooms of Objects

This incredible sculpture by French Artist Bernard Pras is actually made from an entire room of found objects. From old shirts to sweaters, branches, old bits of rubber, paint and wood, the inventive artist created this 3D sculpture of a man with dreadlocks.

If you ever watched the TV show Art Attack as a child, this will bring back memories of Neil Buchanan’s giant site specific creations from old jumpers and random objects. The truly amazing thing about this sculpture is how realistic the face looks once you step back. The portrait is actually of a well-known Malian actor named Sotigui Koutaté.

The French artist currently has a solo show at the MazelGalerie Gallery in Brussels, Belgium. His work mainly focuses on large-scale site specific installations like this one.
