Artist Abraham Poincheval is Living Inside a Real Bear Carcass

French artist Abraham Poincheval is spending two weeks living inside the hollowed-out carcass of a real bear. The strange and fascinating live art 'performance' is taking place in the central salon of the Musee de la Chasse et de la Nature in Paris.

Poincheval has been living inside the small enclosure with all the items and amenities anyone might need if they find themself living within a large bear. He has food, water, entertainment and leisure items and even a place to relieve himself -- all within the body of the bear.

By 'hibernating' inside the bear carcass, Poincheval aims to understand his physical limits and truly experience animal nature.

Abraham Poincheval's performance is relayed to the public 24 hours a day through a live web feed. Visitors to the museum are being encouraged to interact with the artist.
