Evocative Cocktail Menus

Artesian's Artesian Moments Menu Aims to Spark Memories Through Flavor

The Artesian bar at The Langham, London, recently introduced a new cocktail menu called Artesian Moments that is described as "a creative interpretation of life’s most important milestones, based on analysis of what flavors and fragrances we associate with key times within our lives."

The first cocktail on the menu aims to capture "that moment when" 'It All Began,' followed by 'You Took Your First Steps,' made with ingredients like milk, banana and rum. Other cocktails aim to capture the spirit of adolescence and young adulthood, through to options like 'You Turned 30' and 'You Had Your First Kid' and 'You Finally Retired.'

When it came to capturing the essence of particular memories through flavor, Artesian created a 17-question survey, which more than 500 people responded to. Head bartender Remy Savage notes that "Our wish with Artesian Moments is to create a deeply personal menu for our guests; one that can be enjoyed collectively, but still inspire an individual memory."
