Art History-Themed Card Decks

Art & Machine's Cards Were Designed to Commemorate Notable Moments

Art & Machine is a specialty playing card design that was created by Ryan Hewlett from the Tyler School of Art.

The deck's purpose is to commemorate notable moments in history that relate to art and design. There are four moments that inspired the design of the cards, including the "new typography of the Bauhaus era, mid-century book cover design, the late 20th century silk-screened poster aesthetic, and contemporary art and design in the age of mobile." The cards feature a variety of different styles that come together to form a deck that is both creative and informative.

The Art & Machine card deck curates art history in a way that is simple, direct and still artistic.
