Arimon House Combines Aspects of Modernism with Baroque Flourishes

Sometime in the 20th century, design concepts began to change dramatically, and Arimon House is a contemporary, refurbished space that manages to elegantly combine both sides of the paradigm shift. Though the home's primary aesthetic is industrial, is also has much of the ornate maximalism of late 19th-century grandeur.

Arimon House is a refurbished space in Sabadell, Spain, and the original home was indeed designed when the aforementioned 19th-century styles were de rigueur. However, the home's new design is firmly in the realm of modernist design and architecture, with exposed struts and concrete that owe their lineage to the brutalist style of the 70s. By preserving many of the traditional styles of the home with new architecture and design, the home is a material example of the concept of convergence.
