Architectural Love Childs

Victoria Lee Beautifully Blends Villa Savoye with Farnsworth House

If new works of art really are just reinterpretations of existing models, then Victoria Lee is winning with her architectural love child, which she gave birth to for project at Syracuse University's School of Architecture. Blending key elements from Le Corbusier's Villa Savoye and Mies van der Rohe's Farnsworth House, the result is a striking residence that someone is bound to fund to bring to life.

This architectural love child rests on stilts and features a wrap-around floor-to-ceiling window that allows people to enjoy the sights that surrounds it. Dubbed Villa Farnssavwater, it "features a McMansiony combination of Villa Rotunda's classic columns, Villa Savoye's pilotis, and Fallingwater's stone walls with a rooftop swimming pool," writes Fast Co Design, amongst other details.
