Snapchat and Shazam Created an AR Portal to the World of Stranger Things

For the release of the highly anticipated second season of Stranger Things, Snapchat and Shazam teamed up with Netflix to promote the series with an immersive AR portal.

The special 'Stranger Things World Lens' experience may be unlocked exclusively by devices iPhone 6S and above with iOS 11 by operating Shazam within Snapchat when the Stranger Things theme song is playing. The AR lens is styled to look like a door that can be walked through to give fans the chance to virtually step inside the living room of Joyce Byer. Once within the AR room, fans even have the chance to look back into the real world from within the frame of the augmented door portal.

For Stranger Things fans who do not have Apple's latest iOS installed, Snapchat created a face lens that resembles the face of Eleven from the series.
