The Apollo Light by Lucie Koldova is Made Out of Glass and Marble

Although named after the famous space program and resulting rocket ship, the Apollo Light is devoid of all of the sci-fi gadgetry that comes with the territory. Instead, it simply adopts the pod-like shape of the iconic spaceships and does away with everything else. In fact, instead of being crafted out of white powder-coated metal, the Apollo Light is made out of glass and marble, two materials definitely not suited for space exploration.

Designed by Lucie Koldova, a product and furniture designer born in Czech Republic and based in Paris, France, the Apollo Light illuminates from a source that is hidden in the marble head. Gorgeously sculptural, the Apollo Light rests on a tilted base so as to give it another interactive dimension. It suits almost any existing decor.
