Instead, it simply adopts the pod-like shape of the iconic spaceships and does away with everything else. In fact, instead of being crafted out of white powder-coated metal, the Apollo Light is made out of glass and marble, two materials definitely not suited for space exploration.
Designed by Lucie Koldova, a product and furniture designer born in Czech Republic and based in Paris, France, the Apollo Light illuminates from a source that is hidden in the marble head. Gorgeously sculptural, the Apollo Light rests on a tilted base so as to give it another interactive dimension. It suits almost any existing decor.
