Peaked Apartment Towers

This Modern Apartment Building is Built Within a Commune in France

This peaked apartment tower was built amongst a series of traditional French communes. Although completely modern in its design, architects believed that it was important to erect a structure that did not take away from the existing architecture. One of the ways this was achieved was through an aluminum facade. This reflective building exterior further highlights its surroundings, acting like a mirror, rather than drawing attention to itself.

Secondly, the unique peaked roof was a clever way to work around a city law of seven storey buildings. The peaked apartment tower allows each floor to be slightly taller and provides a unique architectural element to the otherwise ordinary building. The aluminum facade was built with balconies to allow members of the commune to gather and socialize outdoors.
