Apartment NUBE is a home designed around a 5000-disc collection by using music storage as the architectural framework for a São Paulo residence designed by Flipe Arquitetura. The layout incorporates long corridors of built-in shelving that act as spatial dividers and display walls, guiding circulation while keeping the archive visible and accessible. Custom cabinetry integrates with structural elements so the collection becomes part of the interior’s rhythm. Neutral finishes and warm lighting balance the dense visual texture of stacked CDs, ensuring the space feels calm rather than crowded.
The project treats the media archive as both personal identity and functional infrastructure. Living areas, reading nooks and workspaces are arranged to encourage browsing, listening, and casual interaction with the collection. Furniture pieces are scaled to maintain openness despite the volume of stored discs, while the overall palette keeps focus on the music itself.
