Doraemon Fans Can Now Step Through the Character's 'Anywhere Door'

The animated character Doraemon is famous for having an 'Anywhere Door' that is able to transport the person who opens it to whatever location they desire by simply walking through the portal. For the longest time, this kind of fantasy gadget has only existed in cartoons, but virtual reality technology is now making it possible for Doraemon fans to experience the adventures that can be had with the Anywhere Door.

Bandai Namco recreated an attraction for Doraemon's door using an actual door that can be opened, as well as a virtual reality environment that sets the scene in an ordinary bedroom, only to have people discover extraordinary scenes behind the pink door. For instance, the simulated environments transports people to the arctic.

The Doraemon attraction can be experienced for a limited time at Tokyo Solamachi in Japan, a commercial facility that is just off of Tokyo Skytree.
