Rimal Bhatt's Breathing Mask Allows 15 Extra Minutes

In response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy — a devastating 2017 fire in West London that took the life of 72, designer Rimal Bhatt conceptualizes a compact anti-smoke respirator that will buy individuals who are trapped in a fire a little bit more time to escape. The model is easy-to-use and will allow for up to 15 additional breathing minutes in heavy smoke.

The anti-smoke respirator is made to be easy-to-use and what sets it apart from other on the market is that it boasts a "streamlined alternative to existing full-face masks." The silhouette is made to be universal. Users can breathe through a tightly sealed mouthpiece, while two nose clips cover the nostrils.

Aside from being an efficient tool for emergency situations, the anti-smoke respirator is also quite compact and packable.
