Intimately Captured Primate Photography

This Animals Portrait Photography Series is Raw and Moving

Giving animals living in captivity a voice through her new animals portrait photography series, photographer Anne Berry will move you with her black and white images of primates and hopefully stir something in you to help these helpless creatures make it to freedom.

Berry‘s 'Behind Glass' animals portrait photography series is a raw and intimate look at how primates are living in captivity all around the world. The Atlanta-based photographer has roamed the globe, going from zoo to zoo to capture these images of primates living in solitude and stuck behind bars.

Having traveled from Belgium to South Africa, the photographer's series has no filters of any kind; we can see the emotional and aged gazes of the lonely primates looking at us in black and white.
